Promoting your event is a joint endeavor and one that we both want to succeed. We’ll get the word out to our fans, email subscribers, and facebook followers. And we’re always interested in talking with local and regional print, television, and radio contacts in your area.

Write press releases and send to local news outlets and radio stations.
Include as an upcoming event in all contacts with public and media.

One Month in Advance

One Month Checklist:

Put up first round of fliers and posters around town.
Include in upcoming events in all contacts with the public and media.
Follow-up with press list for pre-event coverage. Send any promising leads for media coverage to Scott.
Share Scott’s contact information with all media contacts for pre-event interviews and profile articles.

Two Weeks in Advance

Two Week Checklist:

Follow-up with press list.
Post to Facebook Events, Twitter and other social media.
Verify logistical and tech. arrangements for the venue. Confirm arrangements with Scott.

One Week in Advance

One Week Checklist:

Final round of fliers and posters goes up.
Repost to social media and media outlets.
Make sure your advance sales mechanisms are all working as hoped, arrange for volunteers to help with set-up, break down, and the merchandise sales, where appropriate.
