2026: Back to Touring
Between the pandemic, the loss of venues, back surgery and the move to Floyd, Virginia in 2025, my calendar has been pretty empty.
I am intent on getting out on the road again, knowing in my soul that I am happier and more useful performing, than doing anything else.
I’m available for teaching concerts in schools, public concert series, coffeehouses, house concerts, guitar workshops, music camps and the like. Please reach out and we’ll see if we can make a visit happen.
At this time in my life, making a difference is at least as important as making money. Respect, goodwill, and friendship have become revolutionary acts in our country. Join me in extending those!

Mile Post Music on the Blue Ridge Parkway
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the founding of Music on the Blue Ridge, a series of free and ticketed music events arranged by the Blue Ridge Music Center taking place at the music center and up and down the parkway.
At Mabry Mill, Milepost 176, on Sunday, June 7th, I’ll be performing two sets of acoustic blues and slide guitar, showcasing the African-American contributions to Appalachian music (including a few fiddle and clawhammer banjo tunes). It will be my first full two hours of music in our new community of Floyd, VA.
This free program is outdoors, bring your lawn chairs and join me.
