Crossroads

Robert Johnson At the Crossroads

Category: .

Product Description

In 1986, I began transcriptions and research for a book on Johnson’s work for guitarists and blues lovers, which was published with Hal Leonard Corporation in 1992.  This book includes transcriptions of all of Robert Johnson’s recorded blues songs.  It is very detailed, not only in the presentation of tablature and notation, but also in the introductory biography and the text and lyric transcriptions that accompany each song.

NOTE: After selling more than 30,000 copies, this book was taken out of print by the publisher!
We hope to get it back in print. We will announce it on this website when it becomes available again.

“Robert Johnson/At The Crossroads just arrived and I’ve devoured it. It’s wonderful in every respect! I wish I had had it when i wrote ‘Black Culture and Black Consciousness’ , but I’m delighted to have it now.”

“… Painstaking detail, not only in the presentation of tablature and notation, but in the introductory biography and the deliberate introductory text and lyric transcriptions that accompany each song.”
